I am on a laptop. It has always found the preferred wireless network, but now it won’t find it when you search for network connections. But, when you go under manage wireless networks it is under there. What can I do to get it to connect again? All of the desktop computers connect to it just fine. My laptop is only a couple of years old, and has windows vista if that matters any. Thanks for all the help!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D 11V and I can’t connect to any wireless networks. It says that my wireleas network device is disabled but I don’t know how to enable it. Pressing fn+f8 doesn’t work and the device isn’t showing up in the manager so I can’t turn it on there. I’ve had this laptop for over a year and this is this first time this has happened. What should I do?

I have 4 properties throughout the city. I would like to set up a network that could be accessed from any of the buildings. I would like to have the option to make the files read only as well. All computers are set up with wireless networks at each of the buildings, I just dont know if there is any way to link them to one another.?

I have a windows vista and windows 7 on my laptop and for some reason it does not detect wireless networks. I already have a wireless network set up from previous time but it does not show any wireless networks on the computer.
Its like when you click the icon currently connected to which is after the battery icon and before the volume icon no networks are shown. How do i solve this problem?

My brother has verizon fios internet in one room of the house while i only have a wireless adapter from netgear in mine. The adapter picks up signals from six wireless networks nearby but I don’t know the key to connect to either of the networks. I want internet on my computer but don’t know their network keys, what should i do?

Our cable Internet connection was set up on my laptop. I then bought a wireless router. I have an HP running Windows VISTA. My roommate has a Dell laptop about four years old running Windows XP. She wants to connect to the Internet. I have a wireless network set up for the router. What does she need to do? She tried going under "Connect to" and no wireless networks showed up.

Five of my neighbors have wireless networks within range of my house. I think the interference is affecting my signal strength on my own wireless network. How can I fix it?
I use WPA and MAC address filtering to keep people off my network. I just wondered if it was possible that interference was weakening my signal strength because there are so many wifi networks in my area.

I can detect 13 other wireless networks and think this may be affecting my ability to find my own network as well as the speed of the network. I have hidden my SSID and shifted to 802.11n only which helped a bit. Any other recommendations would be helpful.
