i have an HP laptop with windows vista…and its been running very slow lately and someone told me to defrag it…how do i do that?

i just bought a laptop that has 9100m g nvidia graphics. i had gotten 4.0 for aero and 4.3 for gaming in scores in vista and when i installed latest nvidia driver they went down to 3.8 for aero and 4.2 for gaming why?

I am not sure if it is different than with windows XP. Can someone help me out please?

Actually, it’s two questions. How long does Windows Vista defrag really last? I’ve been sitting here for literally 10 hours waiting for it to stop so I can play. I was wondering, also, if you could turn it off in the middle and pick up later? This is ridiculous… by the way, my computer is 400 GB with about 200 GB free.

My Epson 880 is a local printer connected to a Compaq computer shared on my home network. I have a new notebook running Windows Vista, wirelessly connected to the same network. When trying to access that shared printer, using Add Printer, I get this message: Access Denied. What are the steps to remedy this?
