How do I hook up ethernet cable from the ps3 and computer if their far apart?
My tv and ps3 are connected just fine, but my ethernet cable isn’t long enough, don’t tell me to buy a new one, I just want to know how to connect them if they are a few meters apart.

I have a PS3 and I stream all my content from my laptop to the system through Windows 7 media server. However, when I close my laptop’s lid and put it to sleep, the server logs off. Is there any way for the server to keep running while the computer is "sleeping"?

I want to use the ethernet cable for my ps3 but my router has only one connection and its connected to the computer. What would happen if i disconnect the ethernet cable of my computer. Would the internet cut off of my computer and start all over with the connection or if I put it back would it stay there and nothing would had happen. I need some help please.
How to does it lag on my ps3 from the Netgear powerline Ethernet adapter?
I bought the powerline ethernet adapter about a month and a few weeks ago and for those first few weeks it was working great on my ps3. Now it just lags horribly. I can’t sign-in, find a match on CoD, if I’m in a match the lag is just so unbearable I have to quit out. I’ve been unplugging the ethernet cable, the power adapter itself and resetting my router. Nothing seems to work.

I just got a PS3 and the WiFi tends to cut out for my online play. I have an ethernet cable and and a plate for an outlet, but I dont know how to put it into use. I have a ethernet jack upstairs but it is being used for another computer. Can i put another ethernet jack in my basement without having to run a wire from the upstairs to the basement? Thank you! I play ps3 online. To do this i need to take out the ethernet from the back of my computer and plug it into my ps3. When i want to reconnect ethernet cable to my computer, i always have to restart my computer and modem for the internet to work again. This is a lot of hassle because my computer takes long to start up.
Is there a way I can connect my ethernet cable to my computer when its already on, and still manage to use the internet?
