Is it possible to partition MySQL table across multiple disks on Windows?
I’m running MySQL 5.1 and Windows 2008. No problem creating partitions on a single disk…but seems impossible to partition across multiple disks on Windows using MySQL InnoDB setup. Tried manually creating symlinks. Can’t find anything on web. Is it not possible to partition a MySQL table across multiple disks on Windows?
Is it normal for Linux to detect my hard drives as scsi (sda), when I know for a fact my drive is an ide?
I just recently download Fedora 7. This is my first time using Linux. I noticed that all my partitions on the same ide disk are listed as sda1,sda2,sda3. Isn’t it supposed to be hda1,hda2, and so on?
I created a dual boot system with windows xp. Everything seems to be working fine but I wouldn’t know what fine is since I have never used Linux.
Any help, tips, links or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
What is the best way to repartition a SCSI disk on a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC with PERC4-SC controller.?
Existing configuration is one SCSI disk with two partitions, one for OS, the other for data. OS is SBS2003. I want to increase the OS partition size. I am quite familiar with Partition Magic for changing partition sizes on IDE and SATA drives, but I understand an ASPI driver is required in order to do the same on a SCSI disk. I have no experience with this. Can anyone provide the means/drivers to do this, or a better method? Thanks in advance.
If I reformat one of the partitions using Windows XP will the others reformat too?
Hi, my computer has a virus and I want to reformat the (C:) drive only. I have other drives for movies and games. If I reformat the C: drive will the others be reformatted?
Do I just select the C: drive and click reformat and then I am done?
