i just bought a laptop that has 9100m g nvidia graphics. i had gotten 4.0 for aero and 4.3 for gaming in scores in vista and when i installed latest nvidia driver they went down to 3.8 for aero and 4.2 for gaming why?

I have a problem with my Nvidia driver, I have the latest version, the problem also existed with my old version. I want to try a driver somewhere in between the latest and my old one but the only drivers I can find on the nvidia site are the latest ones. Where do I find old Nvidia drivers?

i made a big mistake by getting rid of my nvidia ddriver i didnt no what it was..now how would i go about getting it back?

I’m running Ubuntu 9.04 and I am attempting to install an nVidia driver without having to restart because, obviously, then I’ll lose all data. I do not have permission to install it on the hard drive, even if I dual-boot and this motherboard won’t boot from a flash drive. I want to be able to use Desktop Effects, but I am having troubles. Best answer will get a guaranteed 5 stars.

I’m running into a bit of difficulty with the proprietary Nvidia driver on Ubuntu 9.04. Everything, including Compiz, appears to function properly, save that the resolution is an unacceptably low 640×480. It shows as the highest selectable resolution in the Nvidia display configuration menu. Any idea how to enable higher settings?

I installed some new updates for my Graphics card driver. I currently have a GEFORCE 9400GT 512MB Graphics Card.

I noticed in my Control Panel that I have both NVIDIA PhysX and NVIDIA Driver programs installed. Which one should I delete? Which one should I keep? Or should I keep both?
