I had the PC worked on for a internet connection problem. It cam back this way and the PC service ppeople say it had to have been that way. It wasn’t. Now I have to try to clear the disk. No Fun!

I know about Core 2 Duo. I have Quad Core on my PC. But that’s about it.

For a netbook, or a small laptop, how much Intel do you need? There are so many different models and classes, I can’t tell.

I need enough CPU to have several IE windows open, handle a fast internet connection, and use Word and Excel. Also, the ability to watch streaming video and audio would be nice, but not necessary.

I am wondering if I can build PHP/mysql applications without internet connection? Can I do that offline? Will it run the code? ^Thx.

I have a cable modem. I bought a new laptop and when I plug the cable into my new cpu it does not recognize the internet connection. What do I need to do to connect my new laptop to my cable modem? Thanks!

I need it to try and set up an internet connection using my cabel modem’s ethernet cable.
Oh sorry I have Windows XP. I thought they were the same.

I think this has something to do with a setting in the gateway or DNS. I am not sure how to configure this. I am able to use another computer through the same router to connect, so I know its not that. Also, I am able to browse the internet fine after VPN has been shut down. Please Help!

This is probably an absurd question, but if you were to stand on or squeeze a water hose, that would affect the water pressure. So could doing the same to an ethernet cable slow down or cause errors in your computer’s internet connection?

Is there any possibility to restore my internet connection after I reformat my computer? That’s my problem right now… So please help me people… Thanks.
