I only have one space to plug an Ethernet cable, but need to plug a second for my Xbox 360. What can I get that would let me use two cables?

So basically I connect an ethernet cable from my wireless router to one the power line adaptor and plug this adapter into the mains supply of my house.

The my brother can connect his PC to the internet via ethernet cable by plugging his adapter to the powerline right?

So similarly my neighbour can also share our internet? What are the boundaries of this type of
connection? How can it be controlled?
Isnt it a security threat?

I just got a PS3 and the WiFi tends to cut out for my online play. I have an ethernet cable and and a plate for an outlet, but I dont know how to put it into use. I have a ethernet jack upstairs but it is being used for another computer. Can i put another ethernet jack in my basement without having to run a wire from the upstairs to the basement? Thank you! I just finished building a new machine and need to transfer a ton of files and programs from my old computer. I have some ethernet cable I used to connect the two but I can’t figure out how to network them. I want to be able to access and move things from my old machine to the new one.

Also, is there a way to run a program that is located on the other machine without transferring. I have a game that I have since lost the key for and am unable to install it but would like the better performance of running it on my new machine. Thanks a lot.
