Our cable Internet connection was set up on my laptop. I then bought a wireless router. I have an HP running Windows VISTA. My roommate has a Dell laptop about four years old running Windows XP. She wants to connect to the Internet. I have a wireless network set up for the router. What does she need to do? She tried going under "Connect to" and no wireless networks showed up.

i can connect with my toshiba laptop to my dell laptop via VPN but the problem is as soon as vpn connects, the internet will disconnect from toshiba? is there any way to have both connection?

I need to replace the motherboard of my DELL laptop. I spilled water over it and somehow it got in there. My insurance won’t cover it and now I have to pay. Dell said it would cost 0. Is that reasonable or should I look else where?
This is actually a pretty new Dell model.. XPS. Cost me alot of money!

My dell is 4-5 years old and has recently really slowed down. I have scanned for viruses and spyware, but haven’t really seemed to get it running faster. I am thinking about reformating it and could easily just back up the data on a disk, but I don’t have the origonal cds. Can I still reformat it somehow? Would perhaps firefox at circuit city help?

I just installed a new seagate hd on my dell laptop L400 and am trying to install a full copy of WinXP. However, it appears that it can not boot the XP CD-ROM even though I changed the bios to boot from CD-ROM. Note I have an external CD-ROM that conncets via an SCSI connector.

Someone mentioned I should load a floppy diskette of the SCSI CD-ROM (external) drive. How is this done.

The strange thing is I can boot to a ISO CD-ROM.
