My computer is not starting up when I push the start button. It doesn’t have any CD(/DVD) drives.

I actually have the installation discs but my CD Drive doesn’t work any longer. Is there a way I can put the files on an external hard drive and do a target to reformat the computer.
The problem is, there is two discs that would have to be used in the reformat process.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I have asked this question multiple times and no one answers the question correctly.

I tried copying the installer CD to a thumb drive (formatted @ FAT32) but it is just installing XP and not formatting my C drive. Any suggestions?
