I have an ATi Radeon X1100 with 256 Mb of memory. In my BIOS it says possible amounts of memory for it are 64 Mb, 128 Mb, and 256 Mb (my current setting). Is there a way to increase the cap to 512 Mb? I have 2.5Gb of RAM so i can handle it.

I have 4 gigs of RAM and an integrated graphics card, which i’m assuming taps into the RAM when in needs to, it has 128mb dedicated but is it possible to allocate or rather "dedicate" more memory from the RAM to the integrated graphics card. And if so, how do i do that? I’m running Vista 64bit and my BIOS does not allow for me to change things like video memory. Is there some command line or command string i can use in the command prompt? Or some other magical way?

I’m planning on building my first pc and I know how to do everything except when it comes to the cpu and the motherboard. I know how to put it on and take it off, etc. but the only thing that I’m not quite sure of is what happens after you put everything together?

My friend told me that you have to do something with the bios, is that true? And what do you have to change on the bios if you do? Thanks you for answering in advance.

Hello. Recently I purchased a AMD Phenom II 720 Black Edition Heka cpu, and unlocked the fourth core in my bios. I was wondering what I could do to test it and see if the 4th core is stable. Any suggestions?

what is the difference between a nvidia graphics card to a intel gma 950 graphics card? because in the bios you can increase the video memory to 128 or 256mb. does that mean all the games you can play in nvidia you could also play in intel gma?

I got a virus, it wont allow to reformat the normal way. Now i hav to reformat via the bios. Can i please get a step by step instrustion on how? Websites? Personal? Anything please!!

I got a graphics card and I want to connect my computer monitor to the graphics card so I can play games, but it doesn’t work. (The monitor doesn’t show anything unless it’s plugged into the motherboard) so how do you shut off the motherboard monitor in the bios? and also, if I shut it off, do i need to do anything else to make the graphics card one work? or once i’ve switched it off will it work on the graphics card. 10 points for best answer!

I just installed a new seagate hd on my dell laptop L400 and am trying to install a full copy of WinXP. However, it appears that it can not boot the XP CD-ROM even though I changed the bios to boot from CD-ROM. Note I have an external CD-ROM that conncets via an SCSI connector.

Someone mentioned I should load a floppy diskette of the SCSI CD-ROM (external) drive. How is this done.

The strange thing is I can boot to a ISO CD-ROM.
