How could I connect an ethernet only device to a wireless connection in my house?

I want to hack my xbox original but I dont want to keep it in my den right next to my wireless gateway. Is there something I could use that would allow me to plug in my wired xbox Ethernet to some cable so I could connect to my gateway?

You could run an ethernet cable through your walls or whatever to your gateway or you could buy a wireless adapter for your XBox like the one here: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-R86-00001-Wireless-G-Xbox-Adapter/dp/B0000C5FMJ.

You want this. There are cheaper ones though, this one is expensive because its a newer model.

Well you can get a wireless adapter for your x-box that would save you time but it cost a lot of money 100$ you can get a ps2 with that but i think your a x-box kind of person so save money and get a wireless adapter or get it used at gamestop but if you want it new it is 100$ so yeah.

There is a device called a Wireless Bridge that will convert a cable (CAT5) into a wireless signal. Many companies make them… Linksys, DLink, Netgear, etc…
