ethernet ?
hi, I am looking for a little adapter/extender for two ethernet cables.
I have two cables, and I need to combine those two to make a long one, but I need a little adapter for where both cables meet.

I would just cut off the ends and solder them together.
The easiest thing to do is run to radioshack – I know they have them for sure, you might want to call first though. That way you dont have to wait for them to ship to you.
So simple – radioshack.com and frys.com

Even simpler – don’t. Ethernet cable couplers are usually the first place you have trouble in an Ethernet connection. You can get a 100 foot CAT5E cable for under $15 and the connection won’t go bad. Your time and aggrivation when the coupler fails is worth more that that. (I’ve seen them for $6, but I don’t have a link at the moment – search if you want to save a few dollars – just look for 100 cat5e
