I have three tables: City, Country, and Language. City and Country both have unique primary keys, but Language lists the languages that are spoken within a single country (identified by Country’s unique key) so that a single country might have multiple languages. I would like a single SELECT statement that returns the number of unique cities, the number of unique countries, and number of unique languages found in their respective tables. I believe nest SELECT statements are involved, but I have yet to solve this issue.
